Friendship is a gift that should be given out freely and not hoarded. Someone who is close to us should be able to count on our friendship and we should be able to count on theirs. There is no sense in having a friend who is only there when things are good. If you have that type of friend then you have someone who will let you down when things are tough, or who will let you down when things are good. It would be much better if you had someone who was there for you no matter what.
